President AFC to visit Indonesia on Thursday

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Chief of Football Task Force, Rita Subowo, ensures that President of Asian Football Confederation, Zhang Jilong, will visit Indonesia on Thursday.
"He (Zhang Jilong) will come tomorrow," Subowo said on Wednesday.
Jilong is scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on Thursday morning. He plans to discuss the problem of Indonesian football with government, Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI), and Indonesian Football Rescue Committee (KPSI) .
"President AFC will help Indonesia solving the conflict to prevent FIFA sanction," she said.
Earlier, Secretary General of PSSI, Halim Mahfudz, said AFC postponed its visit to Indonesia until January 10. Subowo denied the claim. "He will come tomorrow. His visit is also based on KOI (Indonesian Olympic Committee) invitation on December 28, 2012," she said.
During Executive Committee Meeting in Tokyo, Japan, last December 14, FIFA gave Indonesia a chance to settle the polemic of double football federation. FIFA set the deadline for PSSI to resolve the matter until February 13 or the matter would be taken to FIFA Executive Committee Meeting on March 20.
FIFA will give firm sanction should Indonesia fail to settle the problems. Indonesian membership could be immobilized, preventing Indonesia to play at any international event.
